Tool Apple

While the phone is at my ear listening to distorted elevator music, whilest on hold with Apple I thought I would type this.

I have loved Apple's products SO MUCH! I got my first iPod Touch (Which was my first ever iPod) just over 13 months ago, and used it up until the iOS4 Update, which created a battery issue on it. I googled it, many others have the same issue now. I was sent a new iPod in the mail, and sent mine to Apple. After less than 2 days of operation, the new iPod didn't turn on, and I needed to do some mumbojumbo I read online to turn it on. It has ALMOST full battery, and didn't seem to have issues. My iTunes library was also erased when I plugged it in, and registered it, etc. I am just so frustrated with Apple right now, it's not even funny. I was planning on buying an iPad, or possibly a MacBook, but with this service record, I am not even thinking it right now.

I have been on hold for the past 30 minutes now, listening to the horrible elevator music, as I wait for an Apple Advisor. At this rate, they will be CLOSED before I get through to someone! Every minute it seems a voice comes on saying "All Apple advisors are still busy. Please wait for the next available one". I have heard this so many times I want to scream.

I was wondering, has anyone else had issues like this with Apple? I always thought of them to be the dream company, but with my issues, and the new iPhone ones I am wondering, what the heck?

I have never had any issues with my Apple products (I have had several iPods (only ever replacing one for an upgrade.. never due to a technical fault), and I own a Macbook.. I plan on buying an iPhone this year).

I'm not sure if there will ever be such thing as a "dream company", as nobody is perfect, Bird. I definitely know how frustrating it can be to wait for a long time just to speak to a customer service representative, but when I am in a situation like that.. I always try to relate to the company workers.. and realize that if they are super busy and stuff, that they probably aren't having a good day either.

Basically, the workers aren't deliberately being slow. It's just that the higher ups in the company are probably too cheap to employ more customer service representatives, which is why the average wait times are higher.

I am totally an Apple fanboy! Hahaha.

However--- I do have one defective Apple product, which I am too lazy (and it's not important enough for me) to return. It's my iPod touch which I bought around Christmas last year. If I pause a song but don't turn the iPod off, in a couple of hours it will just automatically restart- I learned that in the middle of a very boring meeting (don't think anyone appreciated the music bahahaha).

However, it's not a huge deal and I don't really care.

The one thing I was surprised about though is how slowly they reacted/ admitted to fault with the iPhone 4 issues. Usually they're on top of that kind of stuff, but it seems like lately they've been really... mean- if you know what I mean? Hahaha, I said mean twice. It's tough being on top, I know, but maybe the power is getting to Steve Job's head?

The iPhone 4 only has a few extra perks, 1 on 1 video confrence calls, Sleeker Layout, and 2 Cameras

All companies have it's pros and cons, not just Apple. I haven't had any problems with them thus far. I own a couple of things by them; iphone, ipod nano, ipod shuffle and macbook pro. Love them all.

I LOVE Apple! I have a Mac Desktop and a touch and I had an Ipod video like 4 years ago! Don't call Apple! Go onto their forums, ask your question, and then go do something worthwhile. You'll usually have some good answers within 30 minutes. the forum has helped me MANY times

I always feel like I'm missing out on something great by not having a Mac because everyone that has one thinks it's the greatest thing of all time.. lol, I'm too cheap though to spend the huge cash difference betweeen a Mac and a regular PC.
